- I’m on the plane with a CEO chap that I photographed the other week … I had better not drink to much or snore too loud hehehehe… otherwise he will be instructing his communications chief to hire less reprobate photography types hehehe…. although this chap really is a good guy … and he was friends back in the day with a photography dude I know who really is crazy… so he is more tolerant of photography nutters than yer average CEO of any leading corporation :-))

- Funny u should say that Paul I did have a very personally confusing visit that lasted about 8 mins …… to Brum …… yesterday I pulled into New Street Station zipped up the escalator dived into a car in a convoy of armored cars ……. and burned off …… just time to vaguely register New St Station and Chamberlain Sq the Aston Expressway….. Spagehetti junction and away …… ……. I don’t always travel quite like that ……. hehehehe…….. might have been something to do with traveling with the Prime Minister ……. hehehe……. but it was kind of weird to turn up in our mighty home town have no time to really take it in …… then just keep rolling …….. fixed too much on the pictures to be made and the ground to cover ….. that was an extreme example of how it goes in my line of work and my life in general ……… weirdly I went to the city of Niagara falls twice in the last week ….. and did not really see the falls …….. I did other interesting stuff …… Like I was pressed up behind the snow plough at 4 AM on the highway from Toronto …… I get to to do and experience weird and wonderful stuff…… but the constant rolling starts to do your head in …….. as u know i am going slightly nuts hehehehehe……….Cheers bro Jez XXXXXXXXXXX

- All is good ……. in fact when I an really rolling looking down my cameras at the PM or something or someone similar …… then I really know what I am doing …….. I know that bit……. and the absolute mission driven thinking to make it all happen……… I love that bit ….. I love making my pictures ……. its sometimes when I am flying into the night ……. kinda wondering….. what am I really doing? In a slightly more fundamental sense …… thats when I really wonder what an earth is going down ……. like where am I going? hehehehe…… international…… intercontinental air travel all the time kinda does yer brains in …… no sleep no direction …….. travel is a kind of addictive way of life …….. so u need to keep rolling cos u gotta u need the roll ……. and yet u are also thinking what is all this for??? Am I going the right way? ……… I am definetly losing it ……. but hey a little bit of nuttiness is probably good in photography ……. I always say : “Photography, especially reportage photography- its not a job for a grown up’ ……. - Funnily enough one of his aides …… listened to all the stuff I had done just prior to being wheels down in London ….. she said ‘well we are lucky to have u’ …… but she may have been in full on sarcastic mode …… hard to know hehehehe…….. the PM himself told someone taking a photo for the local conservative association to watch what I was doing because I was a ‘mega expert’ ……. hehehehe……. Dave has obviously has not been taking in too much of this blog bro hehehehe……. he also said he was an Aston Villa fan ???? Kinda Freaky wasn’t expecting that ……. - Gotta be honest hanging out with those dudes ….. u absolutely know u r not in charge …. at one point the convoy drove off and left my assistant behind ….. there was no way they were gonna wait the 30 seconds that it required to get her onboard …….. and the few bits that r nominally done for me…… last what seems like a micro second ……. its pretty aggravating …… but its me who has to keep up the smile ……. even though I feel like shouting oh come on just lets us have a minute or so just to shoot without someone saying right I think u must have it by now thats enough…… yeah thats enough no more pictures ……. aaaaaaagggggghhhhhh…….. oh yeah remember to smile …….aggggggggghhhhhhh…….. hehehehehe……..What about the Villa Tone? ……. What about em? ….. Thanks Tone ……. Direct from Villa Park this is Tony Butler BRMB Sport !!!!!!!! I just can’t really envisage the PM with that small radio pressed against his ear …… sipping on bovril waiting for the results hehehehe……. but even attempting to picture it makes him seem more human hehehehe :-)))
