You gotta love the archetypal amazing spectacle of all American sports, and baseball is no exception.
You think you know these games from all the movies you have ever watched, and yet actually if you are a Brit like me, I am still finding half the rules of American football and baseball remain pretty murky, well unless I have good friends with me to explain it all :-)))
We in Britain still somehow have an awareness of baseball even if it is probably the most uniquely American sport. We actually use bits and pieces of baseball terminology like ‘step up to the plate’ and ‘Three strikes and you are out’ because somehow it has an iconic status, even if we don’t really follow through on any of the details.
I came down to watch baseball at Lafayette Louisiana with friends from Mississippi …….. so I am of course supporting the Rebels (in Red) :-)) This trip I am on is basically a pile of good ol’ Mississippi boys drinking beer and tequila and parting in a very casual laid back way, enjoying a weekend of watching sport and eating the local Gumbo, you know the scene just very casual kicking back ………. but it is oddly mixed in with flying down here in a very high power private jet ???? ……… hehehehehe……… :-)))))))))))
So the score ……… well not looking so good right now ………… 2014 NCAA Baseball Tournament: Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns 9, Ole Miss Rebels 5 ……….. in the opening game of this all weekend 3 game tournament ……. So still all to play for in the next two games.

PS……… I shot this from the very friendly stands on my little Sony NEX-7 …….. :-))))))))))))) XXXXXXXXX
