Downtime – Atlanta

Matt is waiting for me to finish shooting the wrecked out Pontiac 421’s he is smoking a cigarette in the time honored way to enjoy the few minutes of downtime. Little does he know that his bright orange jumper has caught my eye. I frame his reflection in the steering wheel and catch his cigarette at the visually clear moment. The camera is tipped up to give it a bit of dynamism, Matt is out in the sun and I watch from the shade giving me a good bright reflection on the drivers side window of the old car. Its kind of messy but I like it.

  • Hey Jez, it’s a great one. I like it a lot. His bright orange jumper caught my eye, too and reflections, especially what present human form, are always enjoyable. Plus you have old, used things here too, definitely one of my favorites.

  • Oh my God, I can’t believe this, I am here again, reading my own comment while posting another one.
I never thought I have been here or seen this photograph. Imagine, how much life can change in three years.
I am lol, as my comment is so stiff, yet true.
I really love this shot, as you have noticed the color and the reflection.
