Well I am still here hanging out in Detroit ….. but its not all work …. there has been some time for taking in a little culture …… and I have found a great place to be on Saturday nights is “The Artist Village” out at Lahser and Grand River Ave Detroit…… last night I went to watch a fab array of artists musicians and spoken word poets ……. it was a fantastic collaborative evening with the main band and their amazing keyboard player backing all comers ….. The night’s happenings were collectively titled “Creative Juices” ……. a great mix of established artists …… and folks just coming up to the open mic ……… Gully G’Que pictured above had an amazing beauty and passion in his sound and performance ……… he was obviously an amazing artist …… but also just a fantastic bloke hanging out socializing with all (including your friendly neighborhood scruffy photographer types) ……. after his stage set ……….. :-))))) XXXXXXXX

- I was expecting him to be a hardcore rapper. He sounds a little more Detroit Soul than like the Eminem Detroit hard edge sound I was sort of expecting.

- I need a shot of redemption….. I am in a bar called the Mercury down on Michigan Av in Detroit ….. hanging out with an old mate Marco B …. who lives on a beautiful lake … not far from Detroit…. I knew about the lake but I never knew it was close to Detroit …. or at least I had suppressed that bit hehehe….. anyway I digress…… The Mercury …. its great u would love this bar ….. and this town… its not so different from Brum…. a car manufacturing city thats had its high points and its low points …. very low in this case …. but hey it feels kind like a place a Brummy can feel at home in hehehehe….. any way I hope your recovery is not stalled by excessive partying and eating over Xmas …. as if …. hehehehehe………..
