This pickup driver appears to be burning home ……. You do need to be careful on the roads in the evening light in Montana ……… I was rolling in the Beast Car just after shooting this image …… I rounded a bend…….. Suddenly I saw 5 or 6 deer on the road in my lane …….. I managed to swerve round them but one paniced and ran into the car ……. he hit me not the other way round ………. he kind of bounced off the side of the car ………. I thought oh no …….. two things……. one he will be hurt or dead …….. two he will have damaged the car …… but he just got up imediately and ran off aparently uninjured ……… I stoped looked at the side of the car ……… it had white scratches all down it …….. but then they brushed off…….. it was only deer fur……. not scratches………… so I think it was pretty lucky for both me and him ……… given the circumstance 🙂
The distances in Montana leave me totally and utterly done in ………….. but wow……. it is mega worth it ……….. yeah it is absolutely magnificent ……… got to sleep……….

Yeah I was pretty happy with that…….. I was just pulling up to make a shot of the mountains and the light when I suddenly saw the
pick up truck come rolling into view ther was just time to grab the camera and jump out the car engine still running………. :)))

Hanging out the window whilst doing 55mph,and controlling the vehicle using any part of your body, apart from hands + feet, should only
be used by a fully qualified photographer/stunt man… Remember Kids, Stay Alive, Drive 55 mph…. Take it Easy Bro

Thats the primary skill of the photojournalist bro…… eating while talkin on the phone and shooting all at the same time while driving
………. er……. not really kids dont try this at home :))
Yeah 55……. thats New York or Virginia style bro…….. out here in Montana its 75mph which is a bit more like it ……. and some push
it a little more over these mega distances……… but dude those deer are gonna keep u on your toes………. Montana rules are ‘keep
straight keep goin’……… the trucks have mighty bull bar cages on the front ………. you don’t brake or swerve in these parts…….. my
deer was lucky to encounter a namby pamby Brit who swerved to avoid him………. Montana truckers had made a serious mess of
deer I saw on the highway later in the night………..
You should bring your bike out here bro……… fit it with a cow catcher………. you would be away :)))))))))))
Hope all is good mate………. Cheers Jez :)))))))))))))

And here’s me looking at Bearwood High Street.
Lee @ May 10, 2013, 5:22 am
Bearwood High St is a tiny bit easier to negotiate than Beartooth Pass that is currently closed still blocked by 30ft of snow even in
May !

Not on a Saturday afternoon it isn’t.
Lee @ May 10, 2013, 5:38 pm
Clearly I am talkin Sat afternoon when the chances of surviving unscathed on Bearwood High St is much more unlikely
than surviving a bit snow in Beartooth Pass….. :))))
