Taxi Under Snow : 8th Av and 50th : New York City

Paul is right Jezblog appears to be about as active as this taxi :-))) ………. Mind you this a rare one (driver must have been like me in need of a mega breakfast :-)) )…….. This guy is not too representative …… most of those NYC taxis were battling through the winter storms ……. like the one behind in this picture ……… unlike the flights …….. I see 75,000 flights have been cancelled on American carriers this year already ….. a record number ……….. anyway my luck with flights seems to be just about holding (touch wood) I managed to jump on another one today no problem …….. although at the gate an ominous weather news spot was playing on a TV talking about extreme turbulence expected …… just as I was boarding :-/ ……… but we had a smooth flight back down to the big ATL without any drama :-))))))))))))))

  • Cops completely over stepping their authority and beating people up for not showing that they are being properly intimidated and then not showing the necessary snivelling deference …….. that dude clearly knew his rights and for that gets a good kicking for it………. got admire him ……. still I normally try to be slightly less confrontational in those verbal exchanges ……. but he was just filming originally …….. that cop just picked a fight ……. NYC cops can be pretty yobbish like that ….. cops everywhere come to think of it…….. I have had similar incidents ……. threatened with arrest and physical violence just for photographing ……. bla bla …….. its a bit of a nightmare …….. cops think they have the right to stop people filming ……. I had the same thing watching an arrest in NYC on Saturday ……. I disappeared off without causing a fuss I had made my pictures already ……… but it was a pretty similar thing where they just get in you face for pointing cameras in their direction…… like you say gotta be careful out there…….. :-/Cheers bro Jez XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
